‘For your salvation out august 28th, 2026’
This album is about me being sad because Jesus or something…
This project has been a lot to process. It delves a lot into my religious trauma and mental health problems. Real fun stuff… But it’s also been a labor of love. I think I have suffered a lot. I want my music to reflect my suffering but also my resilience. These songs are all deeply personal, and I hope that when people listen to it they can feel seen. I felt so alone with these thoughts and feelings, I hope others don’t have to feel that way… It’s torture. I really don’t like to take myself too seriously, but this album shows the part of my psyche that continually plagues me when I’m just trying to live a normal life. I swear to God, the one’s with power just want us to suffer. But we will thrive! I hope…ANYWAYS…….. This release will be available on all streaming platforms by August 28th. It will also be on Bandcamp and Soundcloud. I’m also making it into CDs! So stay tuned for that.
‘For your salvation’ to come out late summer
Hey y’all! I have a new EP coming out this August (most likely August…)! I wanted to explore my religious and psychological trauma from my later teenage years. I’m not a huge fan of sticking to one sound or theme in my music. If you were a fan of ‘MISS DIVA,‘ this is a bit of a departure in sound from that record. I really wanted to show my bandwidth as an artist. I feel like sounds have seasons. As usual, my music is supposed to be left to interpretation, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t have very specific experiences in mind while writing these songs. Deep rooted darkness, things that go beyond the surface level pain of every person, things that are specific to individuals who are victims of an oppressive system. People in positions of power are able to morally justify the suffering they put onto others, painting their victims as criminals or “sinners” who are deserving of abuse. I have a deep resentment in my soul for people with power who use that power to pretend to be God and inflict their “righteous judgement” on people that they deem evil. This form of oppression takes many forms. On this release I didn’t want to pull my punches. We will not be beaten into submission. We love each other. We are strong. We are beautiful. <3
